As the Official Higher Education Partner of the World Surf League (WSL) Australia, Bond students have unmatched opportunities in one of the most exciting industries.

Every semester, Bond students have access to internship opportunities across all facets of the organisation, including Sport Management, Sports Science, Event Management, Marketing and Film and Television. Bond academics and researchers also have opportunities to engage with the WSL Australia in professional and research capacities. 

Bond also offers year 11 and 12 students with the opportunity to take an exclusive backstage tour of WSL  surfing events around the country, providing them with behind-the-scenes access to an international sporting event.

 

Between sets with Sammy Lowe

He was Australia’s Junior Men’s Champion in 2024 and captained the national junior team to 2025 ISA World Junior Surfing Championships. Now Sammy Lowe is chasing his dream of being on the World Surf League Championship Tour. He learned to surf from one of the greats, his father and world tour surfer Micke Lowe, but Sammy is forging his own path. WSL Backstage Tours

As the Official Higher Education Partner of the World Surf League Australia, Bond University is proud to invite year 11 and 12 students to take an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of one of international surfing's biggest events.

During a backstage tour, students can explore the athlete spaces, see the judging area, media and broadcast area and operations control room, then enjoy watching surfing royalty battle it out from some of the best seats on the sand.
