Our stance against racism

Racism has no place at Bond

Bond University is committed to fostering a community where every student, staff member and visitor feels safe, respected, valued and included. We celebrate the diverse cultures, identities, experiences and perspectives that strengthen our community, and we are united in our commitment to treating one another with dignity and respect.

Racism, racial discrimination, racial harassment and racial vilification are not accepted at Bond. Every member of our community has the right to learn, work and participate in university life free from discrimination and harassment. Bond is committed to creating an environment that promotes respect, fairness, inclusion and equal opportunity for all.

Our stance against racism

At Bond, we believe that everyone deserves to feel a sense of belonging.

Racism can take many forms, including:

  • Offensive comments, jokes or stereotypes based on race, ethnicity, nationality or cultural background
  • Exclusion, intimidation or unfair treatment because of a person's race or ethnicity
  • Racial harassment, abuse or vilification, whether in person or online
  • Behaviour that creates an unsafe, hostile or unwelcoming environment

We encourage all members of the Bond community to speak up, support one another and contribute to a culture of inclusion and respect.
