Lights, camera, experience...

The Gold Coast is a blockbuster hotspot and Bond welcomes cohorts of talented film and television enthusiasts every semester. They draw on the University’s strong connections with the local industry to gain real experience, with students and graduates working on major productions including Elvis and San Andreas. An annual highlight for our students is hosting the Bond University Film & Television Awards — Bond’s answer to the Oscars. As our future producers, directors and videographers celebrate the achievements of BUFTA 2024, we’re placing the spotlight on film and television.

Postcards for our ancestors

From Jawoyn Country to Tonga and Bangladesh, our Bond University community is made richer by the diverse community of students, from across Australia and the globe, who call our campus home. Learning about their traditions and family stories inspired Indigenous Student Success and Wellness Officer Teresa Blair to capture a glimpse of their cultural heritage. Through letters to their ancestors, traditional dress, body art and dance, our students have shared with us a look into their legacies.
