How it works
As a student living on campus, your student ID card is an all-access pass to every delicious food option here at Bond. At the beginning of each semester, you will need to add money to your dining plan with one of three amounts: $2,400, $2,650, or $2,950 AUD. This will then be valid from the Monday of Orientation Week through until the last day of the semester for you to purchase any food or drink on campus except alcohol.
If you’re running low on funds as the semester goes on, you can top up your card in $110 increments. Your dining plan can be extended if you are staying on campus over semester break, but will not transfer to the following semester.
If you're wondering how far your meal plan will go, here's a general guide to help you plan your spending. Average meal prices on campus are: a hot breakfast ($12.50), lunch ($15.00), dinner ($15.00), and a snack ($7.50). With that in mind, for the whole semester of 15 weeks:
- A $2,400 plan could get you 1 meal + a snack per day.
- A $2,650 plan might cover 1-2 meals per day.
- A $2,950 plan could stretch to 2 meals per day.
Keep in mind these are just estimates based on average prices. If you don't eat every meal on campus, prefer lighter options, or mix in more snacks and cabinet items, your plan could last longer. On the other hand, choosing more expensive meals or buying multiple items a day might shorten it. Adjusting your habits as you go can help you make the most of your balance.
