Please note: Leiden University (LU) have advised that student housing in Leiden and The Hague is very competitive and it can be challenging to find suitable and affordable student housing. Exchange students should apply for housing through the LU Housing Office and pay the housing fee as soon as possible after submitting their online application for Exchange to LU, even if they have not been formally admitted to the university yet. Accommodation is allocated on a "first come first served" basis, determined by the date on which the student's housing fee is received. The Housing Office also provides information on how to find alternative housing and how to avoid rental scams. Students should use this to explore other options in case their housing application is unsuccessful.
