Parking on campus

  • Vehicle parking permits – Vehicle parking for students, staff and approved visitors is free of charge with a Valid Digital Parking Permit. Students must register their vehicle through the MyBond web portal or mobile application, staff must register their vehicle through the staff intranet, prior to parking on Campus.
  • Visitor parking permits – Contact staff or student you are visiting to arrange a permit for the day of visit (maximum 24 hours).
  • The speed limit on campus is 20kph.
  • Vehicles must be parked according to signage and within the marked lines of a single parking bay.
  • Persons parking motor vehicles and bicycles on campus do so at their own risk.
  • Bond University is not responsible for fire, theft or loss or damage of any kind to any vehicle or contents thereof whilst on university property.
  • All parking regulations apply 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.

  • All students and staff wishing to park a vehicle on campus must complete the online registration form and provide, name, Student/staff number vehicle registration number.

    Your registration number becomes your permit number and will be checked using Licence Plate Recognition cameras.
    As a rule students and staff can park in any parking general (blue - PG) areas on campus.

    Students residing on campus will be allocated a parking restricted (PR) area close to your building, however if the PR areas is full you can also park in Parking General (PG) areas

    If you sell or change your vehicle, you will need to update your details. If you drive an alternative vehicle (Hire Car, Loan Car) please register for a temporary Valid Digital Parking Permit.

    Those sponsoring/organising a group, conference or other event on campus, should contact security office 7-10 days in advance of the event to obtain advice on the booking process and approval.

    GENERAL PUBLIC ACCESS NOT PERMITTED WITHOUT INVITATION
    No external promotions, advertising or signs without express permission which otherwise will be removed and destroyed.

    CAR PARK TERMS & CONDITIONS OF USE

    By entering and parking your vehicle in this car park you accept the following terms and conditions which constitute a legal agreement with Bond University. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, you must immediately leave the car park.

    1.  If parking in a Bond University car park you must:
      a) At all times;
                i.  Ensure your vehicle is registered with security using the approved process
                ii. Park only in the car park area approved for parking of your vehicle; and
      b) not park along or over yellow lines marked along roadways or in an area not constructed as a car park.
      c) comply with all signs and notices displayed in this car park; and
      d) park your vehicle wholly within a marked bay or as directed by security; and
      e) not park in a bay marked EMERGENCY bays unless you have obtained prior written permission from security; and
      f) not park in a disabled or handicapped person’s (PWD) bay without displaying a current disability permit issued under Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995.
       
    2. Parking within Bond University is only permitted by following the Vehicle Registration process. All vehicles must be registered with Bond University (Valid Digital Parking Permit System) or have obtained written permission from Bond University and/or Bond University Security.
       
    3. Bond University authorises Only Park Pty Ltd to enforce the car park terms and conditions described.
       
    4. If you breach any of the terms and conditions in clause 1, then in respect of each breach you agree to pay Only Park Pty Ltd a parking fee. By entering and remaining in this car park, you agree to these terms and form a binding contract with Only Park Pty Ltd. Notice of this claim may be given by affixing a non-compliance tax invoice to your vehicle.
       
    5. If the parking fee referred to in clause 4 is not paid by the due date stated on the non-compliance tax invoice, Only Park Pty Ltd may recover all reasonable administrative and legal costs associated with enforcing payment of the fee. This may include the cost of issuing legal demand letters and instructing legal representatives. If payment remains outstanding, legal action may be commenced, and you agree to indemnify Only Park Pty Ltd for all costs, charges and disbursements reasonably incurred in recovering the outstanding amounts.
       
    6. Bond University Security and/or Only Park Pty Ltd may at any time request that you leave and/or remove your vehicle from this car park if you:
      a) breach any of these terms and conditions; or
      b) disturb, inconvenience, or injure any person or damage any property or vehicle in the car park or cause or permit any of those things to occur; or
      c) use the car park for long-term car parking without the express written permission of Bond University and/or Bond University Security.
      AND you agree to immediately comply with that request.
       
    7. Removal of Abandoned Vehicles, Bond University, Bond University Security and/or Only Park reserves the right to have any vehicle removed from the premises if it is deemed abandoned or parked without authorisation. 
      a) “Abandoned Vehicle" refers to a vehicle left on private property without consent for a period exceeding 48 hours, or as otherwise determined by Bond University.
       
    8. You irrevocably consent to Bond University and/or Only Park Pty Ltd removing your vehicle by use of an accredited towing provider if you breach these terms and conditions. Towing may be initiated by Bond University and/or Only Park Pty Ltd. All towing will be conducted in accordance with the Tow Truck Act 2023, Tow Truck Regulation 2024 (QLD) and applicable Department of Transport and Main Roads Legislation. If towing incurs, you will;
      a) be responsible for all towing and storage costs as permitted under Queensland law. Refer to the Department of Transport and Main Roads website for the current fee schedule: https://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/business-industry/Accreditations/Tow-truck-licensing-scheme. You agree Bond University; and/or Only Park Pty Ltd are not responsible for the vehicle once removed from premises.
       
    9. You must remove all valuables from your vehicle and secure it when unattended. Bond University does not represent or warrant that secure parking is available in this car park and shall not under any circumstances be responsible for any loss or damage to or theft of your vehicle or contents.
       
    10. You agree that Bond University and its contractors shall not under any circumstances be liable or responsible for any injury, loss or damage to person or property, whether arising bailment, contract or tort or otherwise how so ever described and all injury, loss and damage to any person or property is at the sole risk of persons entering in and/or leaving their vehicles in this car park.
       
    11. You agree to indemnify Bond University and its contractors against all claims, cost, demands, expenses and legal proceedings whatsoever and how so ever described, incurred or suffered by it and its contractor arising out of your breach of these terms and conditions, your negligence, acts or omissions or the use of this car park to park your vehicle.
       
    12. No Person other than Bond University or Only Park Pty Ltd has authority to vary, waive, or excuse compliance with any of these terms and conditions.
       
    13. Bond University agrees that your vehicle may remain in this car park if you do not breach any of the above-mentioned terms and conditions.
       
    14. Bond University has engaged Only Park Pty Ltd; to enforce its car park terms and conditions, this includes its authorised agents, contractors, employees, successors, and assigns.
       
    15. These terms and conditions are in accordance with the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995, Tow Truck Act 2023, Tow Truck Regulation 2024, and Department of Main Roads guidelines regarding private property parking and towing.
