Access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment

Students can access industry-grade cameras and more than 40 editing stations with Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve Studio, Adobe Premiere Pro and Pro-Tools 5.1 HD mixing suites. Bond has a fully-equipped three-camera digital television studio.

Industry leading software

Students will access cutting-edge hardware like virtual reality, smartphones, and 3D scanning. They’ll develop skills using industry-standard software, including Adobe Creative for design and editing, Autodesk for 3D modelling and animation, and game engines for interactive digital production.

Build a creative portfolio

Students begin building their creative portfolios from day one so they can stand out when seeking employment with an existing body of work. Each year our film and television students develop more than 300 screen projects.

Forge industry connections

Gain practical experience and professional contacts through our connections to industry, with opportunities to work with real clients in the classroom and undertake impressive internships.

Creative facilities

Bond University offers state-of-the-art creative facilities supporting film, television, journalism, and digital media students. The Film and TV Studios feature high-end production equipment and a fully equipped digital studio, while the Creative Hub, in partnership with Screen Queensland, fosters collaboration between students and industry professionals. The Equipment Loan Store provides unmatched access to professional-grade gear, and the Journalism Newsroom offers a dynamic space for students to develop their storytelling skills.

The Bond University Film & Television Academy (BUFTA)

The Bond University Film & Television Academy (BUFTA) runs Australia’s premier filmmaking competition for high school students. Competitive, fun and fast-paced, BUFTA is open to Year 11 and 12 students. Many BUFTA participants and Bond alumni have gone on to pursue incredible global careers in the industry

Our Creative Practices researchers examine the role of technology, work practices and education in the film industry. Areas of particular interest include the use of the latest technologies in screen project development, sustainable and equitable work practices in the global screen industry and how higher education institutions can impact the development of the film industry and its practitioners.
