Bond by the numbers

Signalling a new era in Australian education, Bond University welcomed its first cohort of 322 students on 15 May, 1989. It was Australia’s first private, not-for-profit university, created in the tradition of the exclusive ivy league institutions in the northern hemisphere.

Today, Bond University is recognised on the national and international stage, with more than 30,000 graduates now working in 120 countries worldwide and a diverse cohort of globally minded students.

Our global community

Bond is a truly diverse community, with students travelling from all over Australia and the world to study on campus. This global student cohort contributes to Bond's outstanding student experience by providing students with international experiences and networks, and valuable connections for their careers.

In 2023, Bond had a total of 5,707 enrolments, comprising 3,489 domestic and 2,218 international students.
