Thanks to Bond, spectators and surfers can get a free Surfer Health Check at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast Pro at Snapper Rocks! Bond physiotherapy academics, as well as the team from Bond’s Water Based Research Unit (WBRU), will be running Surfer Health Checks available to members of the public attending the event from 6 - 13 May, 2023.
The Health Checks will see the team measure participants' blood pressure, ankle hip & shoulder strength, motion & flexibility, ear health, and body composition. The data collected from these checks will be entered into the WBRU database of both pro and recreational surfers, with participants receiving a report on how their results compare, and outlining suggested areas they may like to work on or address with their health professionals of choice.
