Bond University Film and Television Academy Awards (BUFTA)

The Bond University Film & Television Academy Awards (BUFTA) is Australia’s premier filmmaking competition for Year 11 and 12 students, providing aspiring filmmakers with the opportunity to showcase their talent. The competition encourages students to develop skills in storytelling, directing, editing and production through the creation of short films across a range of genres. Finalists are invited to a prestigious red-carpet awards ceremony where they compete for a variety of prizes, including a full scholarship to study Bond University’s Bachelor of Film and Television.

These annual events are run by Bond University and are for high school students who want to put their skills to the test, gain knowledge of a future study area, and experience university life in a fun and unique way. 

National High School Mooting competition

Step into the shoes of a professional lawyer at the National High School Mooting Competition hosted by Bond University Faculty of Law. Compete against other students in front of real judges, barristers, and lawyers. This is an unmatched opportunity for high school students in Years 11 and 12 who want to build valuable legal skills.

The Bond University High School Model United Nations (BUHMUN) conference is a two-day experience that challenges high school students to take on the role of a modern diplomat and represent a country’s position in simulated international debates.
