Exams

Exams

Some subjects at Bond include on‑campus timed assessments (exams) as part of their assessment requirements. Exam formats, timing and weightings vary by subject, so it’s important to check your subject outline for specific details.

Preparing for exams

Before your exam, make sure you:

  • Check the exam timetable for your correct date, time and location
  • Understand the Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) requirements for exams
  • Ensure your device is fully charged and compatible
  • Ensure that you have the most up to date version of Respondus installed on your device if applicable for closed book exams. It is important to check this up until the day of your exam as updates can be required frequently. The Respondus Lockdown Browser Software is  available for download from the test location in iLearn or www.bond.edu.au/respondus
  • Review information and practice tests on Preparing for Digital Exams at Bond (available via iLearn)
  • Bring your Bond student ID card
  • Arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow time for parking and entry
  • Check the permitted exam materials carefully to ensure that you bring the required materials to your exam

Please note:

  • Students arriving more than 30 minutes after the exam start time will not be permitted to enter
  • No additional time is granted for late entry

Exam materials

You should only bring materials that are permitted for your exam.
