Bond's QAFLW squad welcomes back a young gun and continues to build momentum towards finals, while our QFA men will look to bounce back big against Pacific Pines after last week's nailbiting loss to Burleigh.

The Opposition
Broadbeach are a pretty combative, contested side so they like to keep it in tight and make it a bit of a battle. We really need to get our running game going and get it to the outside where we can use our foot skills and have good, uncontested marks. We'll be trying to get the ball to the outside and they’ll be trying to keep it in.
The Challenge
Being able to get some good inside 50 entries is important. That’s where our biggest problem is - last week, we kicked 11 goals 15 and we were having plenty of shots from out wide. We want to get to get more inside 50s from the corridor which means we’re kicking from in front of goals.
Ones to watch
Kierra Zerafa is back. She’s an inside mid and has such a good balance. She's got a really good contested ball but also has a 50 metre kick…her kick and handball is almost as good as any in the competition. She's going to help us through the midfield especially in and around stoppage. I think she'll help Shannon Nolan and Evy Reeves with that handball released to the outside where they can use their run and carry.
Shuffling the magnets
Annabelle Folk comes back in. She was an overage academy player for the Suns and is a really good player. She’s another mid/half-forward who is a beautiful kick of the ball with really good hands so her and Kiera will be huge ins for us. It will be close to our strongest team to the year. We’re just missing another starting mid in Aleria Usher who’s out with a thumb injury and might be out for the rest of the season.
Final word
If Wilston Grange knock off Coorparoo, we can still finish second because we have a superior percentage, so the key is to win and win well, and keep our chances alive of finishing in the top two. We have a lot to play for – a really important game in and around our connection and confidence.

QFA men
The Opponent
New to the competition, Pac Pines have equipped themselves well in season 2026. They play well at home and get good support so will no doubt be up for the fight this weekend. We must be ready.
The Challenge
Like every weekend we are the hunted given we sit at the top part of the ladder which we embrace. We know they will be a significant challenge as they are well structured and compete all day, so certainly not to be taken lightly.
Shuffling the magnets
We may have two forced changes due to injury although should go in close to full strength.
Ones to watch
We’re keen to see our forwards function with much more purpose this weekend as we become far more balanced down there. We have weapons on every line and with good supply our forwards should have a good day.
The focus
Our focus this week firmly sits with connection. We must connect in our game style and with each other as we run into the finals. We have had changes week in week out although from this weekend we get some real consistency with our personal which is a bonus.
Final word
After a stinging loss last week we go in to the game with a steely focus on what has made us successful this year and a chance to really sharpen up with only two games remaining before a big finals campaign.
