Bull Sharks hunt another win

Bull Sharks

Our top of the ladder QFA Men host Tweed Tigers this Saturday at The Canal, while our QAFLW Bull Sharks enjoy a bye after a dominant performance last weekend.

Opposition: This week’s opponent is the Tweed Coast Tigers, whom we kicked off our season against. Traditionally, they have been a dangerous opponent, always up for the contest. They are a small Club with players full of heart and experience, and it presents another game we need to go into with a sharp focus on what makes us a good team that currently sits at the top of the League Ladder.

Challenge: The challenge we have faced with this team over the last few outings is getting on top of them and generating scoring opportunities, as they are a super competitive team that creates multiple stoppages, which can slow our momentum and scoring power, limiting our ability to score.

Shuffling: Again, this week, there may be up to four changes, either forced or through injury. We are hoping to welcome back one of our key forwards, Jack Tilley, who’s a big inclusion for us.

Ones to Watch: We continue to be impressed with some of our young chargers in Ned Spiden, Ned Betts and Jack Reynier, who are building very solid seasons for us. There are many others who have broken our seasons.

Focus: We skipped out of the blocks last week and gained the ascendancy early; we will be looking to do the same this week on our home deck. This team can get a run on and score quickly so our intention is to lock them down and play with dash when we have the footy, one of strengths is our run and carry game and this needs to be our focus again this weekend.

Final Word: It's great to be back at home again this week in what should be a very competitive game in which we want to keep our unbeaten run intact.
