After a bye round last weekend, our QAFLW Bull Sharks return to The Canal this week refreshed and ready to go, while our QFA Men swap places and enjoy a well-earned week off.
On a day where the weather played another significant role, our boys continued their rich vein of form, toppling a very well-drilled outfit on their home deck by a healthy margin in the end, spoiling Coolangatta's party.

Last Round: Bull Sharks v University of Queensland - Bull Sharks won 4.8 (32) - 1.0 (6)
Opposition: Wilston Grange is in really good form, offensively they have dominated everyone. They’ve got speed in the forward line and real talent, so it will be an interesting game.
Challenge: Defensively, we have been really strong; we’ve got to be able to stop them getting easy entry in the forward 50. If we can win the centre bounce and get the ball into our forward half, that will go a long way towards helping us win the game
Shuffling magnets: We lose Skye White and Charlie Adamson to a one-week suspension. But excited to welcome back Trinity Ella, who has her first game back after her second knee reconstruction. Annabelle Foat is also coming back from the Gold Coast Suns Academy, and Tegan Williams is also back from her shoulder injury.
Ones to Watch: Skye Emery and Tahlia Bortignon have been unreal, and Annabelle Lynch has been in really good form as well. Those three will be the ones to keep an eye on.

Focus: Our focus is on stoppage and clearance, as well as owning territory, as it stops them from getting an easy ball in. We are ranked number one in the club for clearances and one for contested ball and tackle, so the focus is to keep the game tight.
Final Word: It’s the first of two massive games against Wilston Grange and then Southport away. This time in two weeks, we will know how well we are tracking or whether we’ve still got a bit of work to do. If we can get a win this week, it will go a long way towards setting ourselves up for the rest of the competition.
