Planning students at the advanced level of study should have ability to carry out independent research. The major aim of this subject is to develop the research capacity of students so that they can conduct independent research on a planning topic of their interest.

1. Demonstrate the capacity to carry out an advanced individual research project;
2. Understand and apply rigorous research processes including problem identification, objective formulation development of research methodology, literature review, data analysis/synthesis and presentation of key findings;
3. Demonstrate skills in writing, illustrating and producing a coherently argued and well-presented research project.
Students must have successfully completed at least 6 masters subjects (60CP).
This subject is not available as a general elective. To be eligible for enrolment, the subject must be specified in the students’ program structure.
