Individual Study in Law (1) is an elective subject in postgraduate programs offered by the Faculty of Law. Students must complete an independent research paper on an agreed topic, supervised by a Faculty of Law academic staff member. Enrolment is by application only and Faculty approval is required. 1. Demonstrate integrated and advanced knowledge and skills to plan and complete a research paper with autonomy. 2. Exercise critical thinking and judgement in interpreting, analysing, synthesising and evaluating complex factual, legal and policy issues.
Faculty approval is required. Students must be admitted into a Masters law degree OR LA-43040 Doctor of Legal Science (Research) OR be an approved Law Study Abroad OR Law Exchange student.
This subject is not available as a general elective. To be eligible for enrolment, the subject must be specified in the students’ program structure.
