Description

The subject provides you with concepts, theories, and approaches for critically assessing the relationship between media and society. You will study and research how the media represent our world, shape our experiences, and exercise power in society. Topics covered include media platforms and their types and features, audiences, participatory digital culture, representation, advertising, news, and media workers. You will have an opportunity to evaluate your personal use of media and consider it through the lenses of media concepts and theories.
