Expand on your high school studies and get a headstart on university

Take a deep dive into an area of interest and earn credit towards a university subject with Bond’s unique learn for credit courses. Designed for Year 11 and 12 students, learn for credit courses combine on-campus workshops with online modules you can complete at your own pace.

During each course, you will explore an area you are interested in and develop valuable knowledge and skills to support your high school studies, while gaining an authentic university experience.

Bond has an action-packed calendar of learn for credit courses offered throughout the year, spanning a range of interesting areas and topics including climate law, creative writing, business and more.

If you complete five of Bond's learn for credit courses, you can apply for credit towards a Bond University subject and obtain two points towards your Queensland Certificate of Education.

How it works

Extend on your high school syllabus learning - these experiences are aligned to Year 11 and Year 12 curriculum for select high school subjects.
Complete a carefully curated course comprising approximately 24 hours of learning, including a face-to-face workshop, online modules and additional readings and assessment.
Complete five courses over Year 11 and 12 and be eligible to apply for credit for one Bond University undergraduate subject.
Each offering will contain approximately 24 hours of learning consisting of a face-to-face workshop, online modules, and additional readings.
The cost per student will be approximately $50 which includes a catered morning tea and lunch.

Gain credit towards a Bond University subject and two points towards your Queensland Certificate of Education.

A career in law can be intellectually challenging, personally fulfilling, and financially rewarding. Learning from Assistant Professor Dr Matthew Raj, you will be immersed in the study of criminal law throughout this course.

Creative Writing

In this course, you will harness your creative flair and passion for writing. Develop your writing skills by exploring a range of approaches, styles, and genres to help you find and tell compelling stories.

BUSINESS

The Business of Esports

Esports is taking the world by storm, and this growing industry will employ many Australians in the future. In this short course, you'll dive into esports and learn about the surrounding ecosystem, how to manage esports events, challenges, and more.

Power, War and Peace

Fundamental to both war and peace is the concept of power. In this interactive course, you will learn about the intertwined nature of these concepts and develop an understanding of the modern international relations system.

Climate Change and Law

Are you the next Greta Thunberg? Learn more about climate change from a legal perspective, and build an understanding of how you can advocate for real change from a legal perspective, in this for-credit course for high school students.

Delve into the minds of a cybercriminal by learning the fundamentals of cybercrime including what motivates those who commit cyber attacks.

Money Talks

Financial decision making is a core life skill, essential for a comfortable lifestyle. This course is designed to provide you with basic tools and knowledge to assist you in navigating life financially.

I chose to complete the Reading Creatively for Social Change Learn for Credit course because I am interested in philosophy, and how different readings of things reveal their hidden philosophies.
