Program overview

The Master of Laws in Enterprise Governance is an eight-subject program able to be completed in four semesters (16 months) of part-time study. It has been designed for law and non-law graduates who wish to enhance their enterprise governance skills, knowledge, and effectiveness. Each subject in the program is delivered as a combination of online modules and a two-day intensive workshop.

The program is suitable for experienced leaders, directors, officers, and board members, as well as for those aspiring to board membership and other leadership positions.  It is the only Master of Laws in Australia with a specific focus on enterprise governance.

The program explores critical aspects of enterprise governance including ethics, commercial structures, strategy, risk, compliance, finance, tax and insolvency, privacy, consumer law, IT law and cyber security.  There is a substantial focus on law and ethics: all enterprise governance is underpinned by a regulatory, legal and compliance framework, and effective enterprise governance must be, and be seen to be, ethical.

Hear from our Bondies

  • “I have taken away considerable knowledge from the Master of Laws in Enterprise Governance with particular ability to understand the importance of best practice governance in enterprise management and enterprise growth”.

    Vincent Nair - Alumnus
  • “Many see the current regulation of enterprise governance as insufficiently rigorous and inadequately administered to effectively hold enterprises, and their boards and management, to appropriate standards. Comprehensive governance education with an explicit focus upon legal and ethical obligations is essential in addressing our current governance challenges. It is thus appropriate that a law school lead the way in making this education widely available."
