About the Bond Business School
The Bond Business School is widely acknowledged, both nationally and internationally, as a benchmark in providing an uncompromising commitment to a premium student experience and to developing leaders for society. Internationally accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the European Foundation for Management Development's (EFMD) European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), the school is also a signatory member of the UN’s Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME).
Students are taught in small classes typically through face-to-face delivery supplemented by online learning technologies. Their learning is facilitated via experiential teaching practices and authentic assessments. Bond Business School focusses on high quality research which is typically aligned with its three research pillars in Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise; Governance, Accountability and Purpose; and Data Analytics.
The Bond Business School is looking to appoint two full-time academics who specialise in Entrepreneurship and/or Strategy.
Each position requires the successful candidate to excel in high quality, experiential-focussed teaching; to make a significant contribution through high quality, industry relevant research; and engage in an appropriate level of service to the school and university.
Specifically, the school is seeking to appoint:
- One Academic with expertise and a suitable international reputation in Entrepreneurship to a teaching + research position at a level commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
- One Academic with expertise and a suitable international reputation in Strategy/ Strategic Management to a teaching + research position at a level commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
Both positions will be continuing appointments. The specific academic level to which each academic is appointed will depend upon their demonstrated eligibility against the position descriptions and selection criteria below.

About the person
Successful applicants will demonstrate:
- Excellence in teaching and research, with a passion for student learning, and leadership in curriculum development, assessment design, and content delivery, primarily through face-to-face teaching.
- Active research engagement, publishing in high-quality academic and professional outlets, with the potential to lead research at a level commensurate with the role.
- Ability to contribute to and lead cross-disciplinary research teams, and experience in securing research funding.
- A proven track record in supervising higher degree research students appropriate to their level of appointment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration within the Business School and across faculties, as well as engagement with industry, professional bodies, and other external stakeholders.
- Experience in executive education and MBA teaching (preferred but not essential).
While applicants for the Entrepreneurship position will have the capacity to teach and research across a broad range of subjects related to entrepreneurship and innovation, experience related to family business, social entrepreneurship, start-up ventures, and/or healthcare innovation would be considered an ideal fit for this role.
Applicants for the Strategy position will have the capacity to teach and research across subjects related to Strategic Management and Strategic Insights. Experience related to global strategy and/or governance and accountability would be considered an ideal fit for the role.
Salary details
The salary for this position is outlined below and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
