Learning outcomes
- Evaluate the philosophical foundations of free speech and controls on free speech, and critically compare how freedom of speech is or is not protected within Australia and internationally.
- Contextualise the competing normative claims of legal doctrines relating to information communication within the public domain.
- Substantiate application of doctrines, principles and rules of media law to contemporary legal challenges.
