About Fred

I am a current Bachelor of Laws (LLB) student here at Bond University. Originally, I grew up in Newcastle NSW, before moving to Sydney at age 12 to start high school at St Joseph’s College as a full boarder. I began my university journey in Sydney, studying a Science + Economics degree (which I was not enjoying!). After a year, I finally conceded to my longtime goal and true passion of studying law, and Bond immediately shot to the top of my list.

I remained in Sydney until mid-2025 where I made the move to the Gold Coast to begin my time at Bond – a decision I wish I had made far sooner.

Why Bond?

I chose Bond for several reasons. I found that coming out of boarding school and into university life, I really missed the community feeling and personal connections that is often lacking at other universities. I found my prior university experience really lacked a personal touch, where it felt impossible to make connections with teaching staff or other students. This made university-life feel more like a chore than something I was passionate about and looked forward to. Further to this, my mum is an ex-Bondy, and to this day she still has good things to say about her experience and how it helped shape her a successful career in law.

After some light research, I came to see so many impressive statistics about Bond’s student satisfaction rates, teaching quality, teacher to student ratio – amongst other things, where Bond consistently either placed #1 in Australia, or very close to it.

As a current student, I can confidently say that these statistics are not just for show; they are things you will notice from your very first class here at Bond.

I’m here to offer my student insight and answer your questions, so please reach out and I’ll be more than happy to assist your journey to Bond University.
