About the position

The Office of Learning and Teaching at Bond University supports and leads teaching excellence, innovative teaching methods and curriculum, high quality learning environments and quality assurance in learning outcomes for our students. This position within the Office of Learning and Teaching will primarily focus on leading, enhancing, expanding and coordinating the Academic Development and Special Projects portfolio. Key duties will also include coordinating projects that drive teaching innovation, support a transformative student learning experience, enhance program evaluation practices, and enable scholarship of learning and teaching at Bond University.

The Academic Coordinator – Special Projects will closely support the Director, Learning & Teaching to identify and deliver successful implementation of strategic projects and initiatives, providing high level educational research, program evaluation supports, data analysis, instructional design advice, and reporting outputs to support continuous improvement.

About the person:

To be considered for this opportunity candidates will possess a doctoral qualification (PhD, EdD) or equivalent relevant to learning and teaching, educational development, and/or adult education, together with significant experience in academic development and project coordination within Higher Education.

Demonstrated excellence in teaching, as well as substantial experience in the development, implementation and review of curriculum is essential, as is experience in planning, developing, facilitating and reviewing academic development programs, learning and teaching initiatives and projects.

Project management experience and coordination of educational projects, exceptional communication skills, a collegial and service-oriented focus and a strong understanding of contemporary best practice in higher education in relation to academic development, assurance of learning and continuous improvement will be extremely well regarded.

Previous experience supporting accreditation, benchmarking and/or program review at the University level will also be highly regarded.

The remuneration range for this appointment is $99,779 - $110108 plus 10% superannuation pa.
