1. Activate your student IT account
You can do this as soon as you've been admitted. Your IT account gives you access to your student email, iLearn, university systems and campus wifi. Don't leave this until the last minute — you'll need it to enrol.

2. Finalise your enrolment and register for classes
Log in to your student portal and confirm your enrolment. If you haven't registered for your subjects yet, do this now so your timetable is ready before orientation week.
Having trouble enrolling? Contact Student Assist at [email protected] or visit them in the Main Library during orientation week.

3. Upload your student ID photo
Upload your photo via the CaptureME portal. This photo will be used for identification on Bond’s Student Learning Management System (iLearn) and for your Student ID card.
Do this at least a few days before orientation to make sure your student ID card is printed and ready for collection when you arrive. Once your photo is approved, you can collect your Student ID card from Don’s Tavern (BLD10_1_08) between 9am and 4pm AEST during Orientation Week. If you are living on campus, your Student ID card will be provided when you check in to Student Housing.

4. Download the MyBond App
MyBond is your student portal in your pocket. Access your timetable, subject resources, campus events, career support and more — all in one place.

5. Register your parking permit
Parking is free for all students at Bond — but you need a valid digital permit registered to your vehicle. Do this online before you arrive.

6. Complete the Safe and Respectful Communities module
This is a short online module that all new students are required to complete. It covers Bond's expectations around respectful behaviour on campus and in our community.

7. Complete the Academic Integrity module
Understanding academic integrity at Bond is important before your first assignment. This module takes around 20 minutes and is required for all new students.

When you arrive on campus
Before arriving at Bond, you must upload your photo to the CaptureME portal. This photo will be used for identification on Bond’s Student Learning Management System (iLearn) and for your Student ID card.
Once your photo is approved, you can collect your Student ID card from Don’s Tavern (BLD10_1_08) between 9am and 4pm AEST during Orientation Week. If you are living on campus, your Student ID card will be provided when you check in to Student Housing.
Your Student ID is essential for accessing campus buildings, borrowing library books, and more. After completing enrolment, upload your photo via CaptureME and collect your card during Orientation.

Essential information for new Bondies
Welcome to Bond! Starting at a new university presents lots of unique challenges, from how to get from A to B, to getting in the swing of study and campus life. We want to help – here’s everything you need to know.

What is '263'?
At Bond, we refer to each semester with a three-digit number. The upcoming September semester is 263. To work out the semester number, take the last two digits of the year (e.g. 2026 - '26') and the number of the semester (we're in the third semester, so use '3'). Your first lesson as a Bondy, sorted!

How do I access Bond’s IT network?
Ready for your brand new email address? If you haven't done so already, make sure you activate your Student IT account! Simply accept the terms and conditions and create a new password - then you will be all set to access your email and our network.
Once you've activated your IT account, find the BondStudents network on your device and use your Student ID and password to connect.
Having trouble connecting to the IT Network? Visit Student Assist located in the Main Library (BLD01_2_53) for assistance Monday - Friday between 9am and 4pm AEST.

What should I know about online safety at Bond?
We take our students' online safety very seriously, and are committed to build awareness around online safety risks. Learn more about staying safe online by visiting the eSafety website and accessing helpful student resources.
We recommend safeguarding your online presence by:
- Protecting your student account by using strong passwords and multi-factor authentication where available.
- Being cautious of phishing emails and online scams.
- Never sharing your login credentials with others.
If you experience a safety concern, need support, or wish to report an incident, Bond's support services are available to assist you.

How do I get around campus easily?
It won’t take long for Bond to feel like home. But, so you can settle in sooner, we’ve got some handy tips and tricks to help you navigate your first week.
Reading room numbers
Bond’s rooms are labelled in the order of building number, then level, then room number. For example, 06_02_01 indicates Building 6, Level 2, Room 1.
Once you know the formula, you’ll never get lost again. Check out the online campus map to see all the building numbers and their locations.
MazeMap – your virtual guide
Need directions? There’s an app for that! MazeMap is Bond’s virtual map, where you can find your way around Bond’s main campus and Institute of Health and Sport by simply searching for a location, then selecting ‘directions’. The app will use your current location to guide you to where you need to go.

Where can I park on campus?
Bond University has an online system to register your vehicle for a parking permit. Fines will be issued if you have not registered your vehicle.
Car parking for enrolled students is free where users park in accordance with the terms and conditions of use as displayed on entries to the University and on the Parking webpage.

How do I get my student ID card?
If you are living on campus, attending on-campus classes and/or require access to on-campus facilities (e.g. library, Multimedia Learning Centre, Sports Centre), you will require a student ID card. Begin by uploading your photo to the CaptureME portal. You will be notified by email once your photo has been approved and your Student ID card is ready for collection at Don's Tavern (BLD10_1_08). You can collect your ID Monday - Friday between 9:00am and 4:00pm AEST during Orientation week.
If studying remotely and not attending campus, you must also upload your photo to the CaptureME portal. Your photo will be used for identification purposes on Bond's Student Learning Management System (iLearn). You can then collect your ID card when you are able to arrive on campus, you will not need it beforehand.

How do I manage my subjects, timetable, and enrolment?
You can enrol in your subjects and finalise your timetable online. If you're having issues, visit the friendly team at Student Assist, located in the Main Library (BLD01_2_53) for assistance Monday - Friday between 8.30am and 5pm AEST, or click below for tips on how to enrol.

The Academic Skills Centre (ASC) is made up of a team of experts ready to provide support, advice and a helping hand with your studies. Tune into one of their workshops or book a personal consultation online.

What library resources and services are available?
Bond University Library provides customer-focused, quality innovative services, information resources, and programs to support the teaching, learning, and research needs of the University community.
Come to one of the scheduled Library Tours during O Week and the compulsory Faculty Librarian Insights for Academic Success session, or pop in at any time to explore the Library spaces, resources, and services and meet the friendly, helpful staff.

Is there security on campus?
Your safety and wellbeing are a priority at Bond University. Whether you're on campus or online, there are a range of services, resources, and support options available to help keep you safe and connected.
- Campus Security operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Security escorts and support services are available when required.
- Emergency procedures and safety information are provided during Orientation.

Which Orientation sessions are compulsory?
Please take note of all compulsory subjects and sessions students need to complete prior to week one. All compulsory sessions are listed in the orientation schedule.
While attendance at all Orientation activities is not mandatory, we strongly encourage you to participate in as many sessions and events as possible.
Some sessions contain important information that will help you prepare for your studies, while others are designed to help you make connections and settle into university life. If you're unable to attend a particular session, prioritise key academic and faculty-specific activities that are relevant to your program.
Be sure to review the Orientation schedule in advance and register for any events that require bookings.

How can I make the most of Orientation Week?
Orientation Week is designed to help you feel confident, connected, and ready to start your Bond journey. We recommend attending as many sessions as possible, particularly the Welcome Session, Faculty Briefings, campus tours, and social events.
Orientation is a great opportunity to:
- Meet other students and start building your network.
- Learn about the support services available to you.
- Familiarise yourself with campus facilities and technology platforms.
- Get important information about your course and academic expectations.
The more you participate, the more prepared you'll feel when classes begin.

What technology do I need to set up before classes start?
Before classes commence, you should ensure you have access to the following:
- Your Bond University student account and email.
- A reliable laptop or computer suitable for your course requirements.
- Access to Bond's student systems and learning platforms.
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA), if required.
- A stable internet connection for accessing course materials and online resources.
You will receive information about setting up your technology and accessing key systems before Orientation. If you need assistance, support staff will be available throughout Orientation Week to help you get connected.

Where can I access medical services on campus?
The Medical Clinic is a facility for currently enrolled students and staff members of Bond University. The Medical Clinic is located within Wellbeing Services – Level 1, Student Court, Building 9 (See location 9 on the Campus Map).

If you're an international student, information about Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), including eligibility, coverage requirements, and support services, can be found on the Bond University website.

What is the Bond Law Clinic and who can use it?
Open to the community, the Bond Law Clinic provides free legal advice in the areas of commercial law, property law, business law and general legal advice.
