Dr Rosita Dellios

Research interests

Dr Rosita Dellios is Associate Professor of International Relations at Bond University, where she helped establish the International Relations program. Her scholarship focuses on the strategic, philosophical, and geopolitical dimensions of international relations, with a particular emphasis on China, Asian security, and transformations in global order. Drawing on both strategic studies and political philosophy, her research investigates how ideas, culture, and power shape international politics. She has published widely on China's foreign and defence policy, strategic culture, geopolitics, humanistic approaches to world order, and the future of international relations. Her work includes authored and co-authored books as well as numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and conference presentations. Dr Dellios's teaching and research contribute to understanding the challenges facing the Indo-Pacific region, including great-power competition, regional security architectures, and emerging geopolitical trends. Through her scholarship, she seeks to connect strategic analysis with deeper questions of order, governance, and international transformation.   Research interests include Chinese foreign and defence policy, strategic culture, geopolitics, international security, Asian regional order, political and strategic philosophy, futures studies, and transformative processes in international relations. Current research examines strategic adaptation in the Indo-Pacific, evolving concepts of deterrence and security, China's role in regional and global order, and the impact of emerging technologies on international politics.
