Research interests

My research investigates the Architectural Design of Timber Buildings, including the use of Mass Timber in Housing and Civic Buildings, and how Design can minimize timber waste through a more responsible use of underutilized timber resources. My research projects look at the historical and contemporary use of Roundwood in Timber Structures, and how modern methods of construction employ design tools and strategies to promote a greater application of Timber in a wider variety of building types and scales.
