Research interests

I am Assistant Professor in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science at Bond Business School, where I lead the development of innovative Enterprise AI programs combining rigorous computer science foundations with business applications. My research expertise spans artificial intelligence and machine learning applications, healthcare informatics, generative AI in education, and accessible technology systems, with a consistent focus on translating AI innovation into measurable real-world impact across healthcare, education, and business domains.

As Chief Investigator for a substantial Western Health research project, I have led the "Western at Home, Service Design Governance Project" applying machine learning to patient risk prediction and hospital capacity optimization, demonstrating significant improvements in healthcare service delivery across multiple programs and divisions. My research portfolio includes numerous peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals, including multiple Q1-ranked outlets. I serve as Guest Editor for Informatics Journal's special issue on Generative AI in Higher Education and lead a multi-institutional Scholarship of Teaching and Learning research network. My scholarship has received recognition including the IBILTA Research Poster Award. Through active collaborations with CSIRO on accessible AI systems, Microsoft Azure on enterprise AI integration, SAP on intelligent business systems, and Western Health on digital health transformation, my work demonstrates sustained commitment to bridging academic research with industry innovation. Currently supervising doctoral students in educational technologies and AI applications, my research program emphasizes ethical AI development, human-centered design, and the strategic deployment of emerging AI technologies including agentic AI systems across business, healthcare, and educational contexts.
