Adjustment factors for undergraduate admission

Adjustment factors eligibility

If you are a current Australian Year 12 applicant, or you successfully completed your Australian Year 12 studies no more than 2 years ago and have not commenced any university studies, you may be eligible for adjustments to help you get into your intended program at Bond University.

If you meet the criteria for one or more adjustment factors, Bond University will grant you adjustment points to increase your selection rank. Adjustment points are also commonly known as bonus points, and they work in the same way to increase your selection rank. Adjustment points do not increase your OP/ATAR, instead, they increase your selection rank, and this may get you an offer for your intended program. You must still meet any prerequisites specified for entry into your intended program.

You will only be considered for adjustments if you do not meet the minimum OP/ATAR or selection rank required for the program. The adjustments will be applied if you meet the criteria for the relevant adjustment factor/s.

The maximum adjustment applied to each applicant is five (5) ranks from one or more adjustment factors. Each adjustment factor has a maximum adjustment rank.

In 2018, eight students received a positive adjustment. Of these students, the maximum adjustment was 4 ranks.

Adjustment factors cannot be used for:

  • Scholarship consideration
  • Early offers, and
  • Entry into the following programs:
    • Bond University College programs
    • The Bond Medical Program
    • The Bachelor of Laws program
    • Undergraduate programs where additional requirements (such as auditions, interviews, portfolios or questionnaires) apply, and
    • Honours programs.
