Metrix for Life: Circularity of Product Systems, Architecture and Cities

In a world facing escalating climate challenges, how can the life of materials, buildings, and cities be reimagined through circular thinking?

This interactive session explores Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) not just as a technical metric—but as a philosophical and strategic tool to rethink sustainability across scales. The session introduces Sustainability reporting, LCAs, a systems-thinking approach that evaluates embodied energy, material loops, and socio-ecological impacts from cradle to cradle.

Participants will calculate their own carbon-footprint, engage in real-world LCA scenarios, map material journeys, and discuss the roles of designers, engineers, and citizens in shaping future-proof product systems.

Perfect for students, researchers, and practitioners eager to align their work with the principles of ecological integrity and climate justice.
