This subject is designed as a postgraduate level introduction to the study of security and strategy in the contemporary world. Students gain an understanding of the theoretical underpinnings and policy applications of the fast-evolving field of security studies, including strategic planning. The subject covers a broad range of approaches and issues, from traditional military security issues and associated strategies to non-traditional ones such as pandemics and climate change.
