About this program

The Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying at Bond University offers students the chance to increase their knowledge in the field of building surveying while studying with world-class academics and experienced practitioners. The program has been designed in consultation with the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS) to ensure that the material covered is, in all respects, appropriate for people engaged in this field. As a result of this consultation, graduates are assured that their qualifications meet the requirements of the relevant professional bodies.

Program at a glance

The Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying can be completed in just 1 year with part-time study and comprises of a total of eight foundational subjects. The foundational subjects will help you with the understanding of building surveying as a whole, including structure and materials, building control and regulations, and real estate property rights. 

You’ll have the option of completing four additional elective subjects to be awarded the Master of Building Surveying qualification.

    You will be based in Bond’s state-of-the-art Built Environment Precinct which includes the first building in Australia to be awarded a 6-State Green Star – Education PILOT Certified Rating for design by the Green Building Council of Australia.

    Working in small groups, you’ll connect with academics, industry practitioners and future employers who know exactly what is expected in today’s workplace. You’ll also meet industry representatives through networking events hosted by the Faculty and the Bond Built Environment Student Association.

  • Work internationally

    Bond’s Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying is accredited nationally and internationally, allowing you to work anywhere in Australia or around the world, as a Building Surveyor.

  • Build qualifications

    Add another four elective subjects to complete your Master of Building Surveying.
