Each year, outstanding Year 12 students from across Australia are awarded prestigious Vice Chancellor's Elite Scholarships.

These students are selected on the basis of exceptional academic achievement, proven leadership ability and personal character. They have been identified by their teachers and peers for their commitment to their community and their willingness to help and inspire others.

Scholarship is available to Year 12 school leavers beginning their study at Bond University in the following year, January semester.

  • Available to domestic students completing Year 12 at an Australian secondary school.
  • To be considered, applicants must be predicted to achieve a minimum of OP 3, ATAR 96.00 or IB Diploma 38.
  • Demonstrated record of leadership. initiative and service to their School and/or Community. 

All Vice Chancellor's Elite Scholars are expected to maintain the level of academic and personal excellence that distinguished them as applicants.

100% tuition for any single or approved combined* undergraduate degree (excluding the Bond Medical Program).

Every Vice Chancellor’s Elite Scholar is also invited to participate in the Vice Chancellor’s Mentoring Program. The Mentoring Program connects each scholar with an influential corporate mentor, and is intended to cultivate industry links, networks and business acumen for our Vice-Chancellor’s Elite scholars. Our mentors are all highly regarded senior executives, who have forged their own successful careers in the corporate world, and generously work alongside each Vice Chancellor’s Elite scholar for their first year of study, to help prepare them for a phenomenal career beyond university.

How to Apply

Applications for January 2020 entry are now closed. Applications for January 2021 entry will open on 1 May, 2020.

Upon completion of the Bond University Online Study Application form, eligible students can apply for this scholarship via the Scholarship Application Form.

Students must complete and submit their scholarship application prior to the application closing date. No late scholarship applications will be considered. If you are applying for more then one scholarship with different application closing dates, it is important to submit your scholarship application form by the earliest scholarship closing date.

Scholarship applicants will be required to submit the following documents as part of their scholarship application:

  • A School reference (you will be asked to provide your Career Advisors details as part of the scholarship application form and we will follow-up with them directly to provide a reference);  
  • Evidence of your leadership, initiative, and service to your school and/or community, including 2 references. Please use the Summary of Achievements template to present this evidence and upload as one Word or PDF document; and  
  • Essay responses for the following two questions:
    1. Talk about a problem in the world today that you would like to solve. Why is this important to you and what would you do to fix it? (200-300 words)
    2. An individual’s philosophy of life develops with experience. Describe how furthering your education at Bond University will connect to your philosophy. (200-300 words)

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a short video. Scholarship finalists will be invited to a VC Elite Selection Weekend to be held in late September 2019.
