In your first semester, you will not only cover the to-be-expected topics of 3D BIM, 4D BIM (scheduling) and 5D BIM (cost), which are all essential knowledge areas for a successful career in the management of Building Information Modelling. But you will also cover Intellectual Property Rights in the BIM environment, management of design for energy efficiency, consideration during design of post-completion facilities management, and use of BIM in integration with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) – all confirmed by industry leaders as knowledge areas in demand. In addition to this, you will gain knowledge of project process engineering and change, continuous process improvement, advanced Lean Construction and principles of integrated project delivery.
This program positions you to contribute significantly to your consulting or contracting organization as a BIM and IPD manager, reducing costs and increasing profits. The Graduate Diploma in Building Information Modelling and Integrated Project Delivery program prepares students for productive application of their comprehension of relevant BIM/Lean/IPD knowledge in the work environment, for the benefit of projects and their stakeholders.
The program is delivered in intensive mode and has the objective of preparing industry professionals to serve as BIM/Lean/IPD managers. While the course does cover various BIM-related technologies, it does not prepare students to be specialist technicians in the niche areas of the technologies covered by the curriculum.

The below fees are based on the total estimated program fee divided by the number of standard full-time semesters required to complete the program. Fees may vary based on which subjects are selected and the number of subjects enrolled in for each semester.
Semester program fee:
- Students commencing study in 2021: $21,000* per semester average
- Students commencing study in 2022: $21,240* per semester average
Total program fee:

When considering the fees associated with your studies, keep in mind that Bond’s accelerated schedule means you can finish your degree sooner and be out in the workforce up to a year earlier than most other universities.
This time saving also represents a substantial reduction in accommodation and living costs, plus a full year of extra earnings.

Tuition fees are subject to change on an annual basis and will be charged at the appropriate fee for the year of enrolment.

Credit for prior study
Subject credits may be awarded for previous studies. To apply for credits, you will need to submit academic transcripts including detailed subject outlines/course descriptions for each relevant subject and/or certified copies of testamurs to the Office of Future Students. The Queensland Government recently decided that all infrastructure projects costing more than $50m are to be delivered using Building Information Modelling.
This is just one indicator that the design and delivery of construction and infrastructure projects is moving to another level, and that means opportunity can be expected to increase. Increasingly, clients are requiring that their medium and large construction and infrastructure projects be delivered using Building Information Modelling and Integrated Project Delivery systems.
