We are seeking suitably qualified candidates with expertise in clinical education, curriculum delivery, and the governance of workplace-based learning environments. Applicants may come from medical or non-medical professional backgrounds, aligned to the requirements of each role.
A strong record of stakeholder engagement, professional communication, and the ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with health service partners will be essential.

The portfolio includes senior leadership opportunities, notably the Academic Director of Clinical Placements (Professor/Associate Professor), responsible for advancing domestic and international placement partnerships and contributing to accreditation sustainability. Multiple Assistant Professor (A/B) positions are also available, supporting the Advanced Clinical Skills Program, the Clinical Placement Coach Program, and broader hospital engagement activities.
Academic Director of Clinical Placements (Professor / Associate Professor)
Lead the strategic growth of domestic and international clinical placement partnerships, and play a key role in accreditation, program sustainability, and educational excellence.
Assistant Professors (Level A & B)

About the person
Ideal applicants will demonstrate a deep understanding of contemporary clinical practice, medical student learning in workplace environments, and the complexities of interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration.
A strong commitment to scholarly engagement—including reflective practice, evaluation, and contributions to medical education research—is expected. Experience in assessment design, curriculum innovation, and maintaining academic standards within higher education will be highly regarded.

Salary details
The salaries for these positions are outlined below and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience and attract 12% superannuation* per annum. A clinical loading may be applied as appropriate. Salary packaging options are available.
