Description
Effective decision-making in projectised environments relies on a clear understanding of time, cost, and resource constraints. This subject explores how human, material, and equipment resources are planned, acquired, and managed throughout the project lifecycle—from initiation to closure. Students will examine key topics including leadership and team dynamics, labour and plant planning, material resourcing, resource calendars, levelling techniques, and performance evaluation. The subject emphasises practical strategies to optimise productivity and ensure the efficient use of project resources.

- Practice knowledge needed for effective project resource management on an authentic case study
- Produce a task allocation report and use it to develop a means for managing performance
- Demonstrate the ability to develop resource planning documents, such as a labour histogram and a resource management plan to support strategic decision-making
