Description
Foundations of Enterprise Governance is a compulsory subject in the Master of Laws in Enterprise Governance offered by the Faculty of Law. The subject will examine key elements of the governance framework used by boards and those who report to, and work closely with, boards. Students will be provided with an understanding of how the legal framework interacts with strategy, risk, finance and compliance, together with contemporary issues affecting board performance.

- Critically analyse and evaluate the legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements faced by directors within the context of ethical, social, and environmental constraints on enterprises, demonstrating advanced understanding and application of relevant theories and frameworks.
- Demonstrate superior adaptive judgment to formulate sophisticated governance positions, integrating complex ethical considerations and stakeholder perspectives, and effectively apply them to nuanced boardroom scenarios.
- Utilise enterprise governance theories, skills, and strategies to investigate, critically analyse and resolve complex boardroom and enterprise governance problems.
