Applied Translational Simulation for Teams

UNLOCKING HEALTHCARE POTENTIAL THROUGH APPLIED SIMULATION

The Applied Translation Simulation course equips healthcare professionals with the tools and techniques needed to design and implement effective simulation training programs for hospital teams. With a focus on practical application, you’ll learn how to create training experiences that elevate team performance and improve patient outcomes.

WHY TRANSLATIONAL SIMULATION

Translational simulation is a powerful tool for improving healthcare quality and safety. It helps identify safety threats, improve clinical processes, reduce adverse events, and test new physical facilities. By exploring team and system performance in complex environments and testing planned changes, translational simulation drives meaningful improvements in patient care.

The course offered a great foundation for participants either a bit new to simulation or those with experience in simulation for understanding how sim can move
beyond an educational tool. It was well structured in terms of the online modules but with well-spaced face-to-face sessions to complement the learnings from the modules. As a project group, the content met our needs perfectly. Vic adapted to suit the group’s needs and was so responsive and flexible in the planning of the dates, sessions and learning needs.”

– Jane Cichero, Nurse Educator Critical Care Simulation Service, Sydney Children's Hospital.

“The ATS course helped me plan and use simulation as a strategic tool for healthcare transformation. The modules were rich with insights into quality, safety, and human factors. The coaching sessions were expertly facilitated and helped us apply the learning to our own challenges. It’s a course that delivers both inspiration and impact.” Dr Ian Summers Head of Monash Simulation Monash Health, Melbourne.
