Transcripts & documents

There is a range of documentation available to provide an academic record of your study while you are a current student and once you graduate.

From August 2018, current students and graduates can utilise the My eQuals platform to access certified digital versions of transcripts, testamurs and AHEGS and share them with employers, universities or other parties.

Documentation cannot be provided to students or graduates who have outstanding fees.

My eQuals has been adopted by all Australian and New Zealand universities and is a secure site for the provision of certified digital documents.

Why provide certified documents online?

A single electronic copy of a document stored on a secure server avoids the need for multiple original or certified copies, saving time, inconvenience, paper and money.

Application processes are increasingly moving into the digital realm. Using My eQuals, you will be able to provide a hyperlink (URL) with any electronic application rather than attaching scanned documents or sending originals. The benefits are great when submitting multiple applications or overseas applications.

You can print a hardcopy of your electronic documents. Printed versions provide instructions on how to verify the document's authenticity electronically, avoiding the need to send an original or certified paper copy.

From October 2018, Bond University provides all new graduating students with access to digital copies of their testamur, transcript and AHEGS within 72 hours of their graduation ceremony.

Your official academic transcript lists all your programs and subjects undertaken and the grade achieved for each subject. Upon graduation, it also includes your award title and conferral date.

Academic transcripts for current students and alumni

Current students and alumni may request a certified digital transcript through My eQuals or a paper transcript. When ordering a paper transcript, you may choose to have the document posted to you or collected from the Student Business Centre. If a third party will be collecting on your behalf, they must provide a written authority from you and present their photo ID. Paper transcripts will not be sealed individually unless specifically requested.

Transcripts are not available during the following times:

  • For graduating students – two weeks preceding the graduation ceremony.
  • For all current students – one week preceding the formal publication of examination results.

Academic transcripts for graduates

If you are graduating from October 2018, you will receive a certified digital copy of your academic transcript via My eQuals within 72 hours of your graduation ceremony date.

You will receive a paper testamur at your graduation ceremony and a certified digital copy via My eQuals within 72 hours of your graduation ceremony date. The testamur cannot be issued prior to this time. If you do not attend your graduation ceremony, you may choose to have your paper testamur posted to you or collected from the Student Business Centre after graduation.

Replacement testamur

In accordance with the University’s Academic Regulations, replacement testamurs may only be issued under the following circumstances:

  • Original testamur has been lost, stolen or destroyed. You must submit a statutory declaration with your Request for Document form.
  • Original testamur has been damaged. You must surrender your current damaged testamur in order to be issued with a replacement.
  • Request for a change of name. You must surrender your current testamur along with a certified copy of supporting documentation, such as:
    • Change of name certificate
    • Marriage certificate
    • Birth certificate
    • Proof of divorce

AHEGS for graduates

From October 2018, all new graduates will receive free digital access to AHEGS via My eQuals within 72 hours of the graduation ceremony date. The AHEGS cannot be issued prior to this time.

AHEGS for alumni

Alumni may request a certified digital AHEGS through My eQuals or a digital and paper AHEGS. When ordering a paper AHEGS, you may choose to have the document posted to you or collected from the Student Business Centre. If a third party will be collecting on your behalf, they must provide a written authority from you and present their photo ID.

Students and graduates may request official letters for a number of purposes:

  • Letter for Temporary Graduate Visa (485) application
  • Confirmation of enrolment status and degree program
  • Confirmation of semester of commencement and expected graduation semester
  • Confirmation of program completion
  • Confirmation of residential address
  • Invitation letter for visa purposes

Centrelink

The University does not provide enrolment confirmation letters for Centrelink as this information is reported directly.

Subjects and grades will not be included in any letter request. Official letters are produced on official Bond University letterhead and all are addressed “To whom it may concern”.
