Bond University values our relationship and thanks you for your representation of Bond as a formal agent.
To assist you in your promotion of Bond, we have outlined your responsibilities and our expectations of all Bond agents. We have also provided you with a range of marketing resources and weblinks to assist with promoting Bond and counselling students. Agents responsibilities and Bond's expectations
Your obligations as a Bond University Education Agent are in your agency agreement and include:
- Actively promoting the University and recruiting students in an accurate, ethical and professional manner.
- Attending to enquiries from prospective students by providing information about the programs available at the University and the relevant admission criteria.
- Assisting students in applying for Bond admission to programs through the agent portal in Studylink.
- Ensuring all relevant staff members are suitably qualified and experienced and aware of their obligations.
- Complying with relevant University policies and procedures, Agent Code of Ethics and the ESOS Legislative Framework.
- Promptly acting upon any reasonable directions given by the University around training or corrective behaviour.
- Complying with Bond’s Genuine Student requirements.
- Seeking written consent prior to undertaking any promotional activity, advertising of the University or its programs or using the University logo.
The Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act) provides legislative requirements and standards for the quality assurance for Universities offering courses to International students who are in Australia on a student visa.
Mandatory training
All approved Bond agents are required to conduct the following Australian Higher Education and National Code Training and Assessment along with Agent Bond Training within 2 months of signing an agreement or following the renewal of an agreement.

A minimum pass mark of 80% is required, please re-submit the assessment if you do not achieve 80% or more

Submitting and application via Studylink
All applications to Bond University are submitted via Studylink Connect Portal via the correct territory office account (based on where a student resides).

Bond University has developed simplified GS documents to support our partners with assessing a Genuine Student, these forms cover factors which the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) looks at before deciding on a student's visa outcome.

All applications to Bond are automatically assessed for scholarship as part of the application process.

Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
Bond Universities preferred OSHC provider is Bupa, all international students must maintain adequate health insurance for the duration of their student visa for themselves and any family members.

Accommodation
The Australian Department of Home Affairs requires students to have the financial capacity to cover living costs of at least $29,710 per year (not including course fees). This means that you they need approximately $2,476 per month for accommodation, food, utilities and entertainment.
These costs do not factor in things like program tuition fees, required textbooks, public transport or medical expenses. It is important to consider pre arrival costs such as Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) as well as student visa and initial flights when budgeting. budgeting.
