What is Read and Write 

Read & Write is a Toolbar designed to help you with the process of researching, reading and writing with a wide variety of tools that you can customise.

Features include: 

• Text-to-speech: Reads words, passages, or whole documents aloud with easy-to-follow dual colour highlighting.
• Talk & Type: Turns the spoken word into text.
• Audio Maker: Converts selected text into an audio file, and automatically downloads.
• Translation & Referencing: Over 80 languages available for translation that you can save to build your personal dictionary housing both definitions and images.
• Check It: Reviews writing for incorrect grammar, spelling (phonetic), capitalisation, punctuation, verb tense, referencing and more.

Read and Write toolbar for windows and Mac is available for Bond University students and staff to download. 

The toolbar integrates with Windows based tools including Microsoft Word, Office 365 and web browsers.

Complete the following steps:

1. Access the read and write website.

   Read and write website

2. Select Windows or Mac depending on the device you are installing on.
3. After the toolbar has been installed click the purple tab to launch the sign in screen.
4. Select sign in with Microsoft and enter your Bond sign in credentials.
5. Once signed in, you'll be prompted to install the extension, supporting read and write.

6. Access the read and write website.

7.  Install the extension, support for read and write.
8. Select Sign in with Microsoft and enter your Bond sign-in credentials.

Read and Write extensions 

Read and write can also be downloaded specifically for use with a website browser.

This toolbar provides Read and write functionality to web pages and documents on google drive. 

Complete the following steps:

1. Access the read and write website.

   Read and write website

2. Select the preferred platform to download Read & Write on.
3. Navigate to the Bond University website and click the extension to launch the toolbar - when prompted select for Education and ensure if prompted you sign in using your Bond credentials.
