Read and write tool bar
Read and Write toolbar for windows and Mac is available for Bond University students and staff to download.
The toolbar integrates with Windows based tools including Microsoft Word, Office 365 and web browsers.
Complete the following steps:
Access the read and write website.
- Select Try Read and write.
- From the list Select either Windows or Mac depending on the device you are installing on.
- Once the download has finished run the installation.
- After the toolbar has been installed click anywhere on the toolbar and you will be redirected to a sign-in Page.
Access the read and write website.
- Install the extension, support for read and write.
- Select Sign in with Microsoft and enter your Bond sign-in credentials.
Read and Write chrome extension
Read and write can also be downloaded specifically for use with the chrome browser.
This toolbar provides Read and write functionality to web pages and documents on google drive.
Complete the following steps:
Access the read and write website.
- Select Try Read and write
- From the list Select Google Chrome
What is Read and Write
Read&Write is a Toolbar designed to help you with the process of researching, reading and writing with a wide variety of tools that you can customise.
Features include:
- Text-to-speech: Reads words, passages, or whole documents aloud with easy-to-follow dual colour highlighting.
- Talk&Type: Turns the spoken word into text.
- Audio Maker: Converts selected text into an audio file, and automatically downloads.
- Translation & Referencing: Over 80 languages available for translation that you can save to build your personal dictionary housing both definitions and images.
- Check It: Reviews writing for incorrect grammar, spelling (phonetic), capitalisation, punctuation, verb tense, referencing and more.

If you require read and write during an exam, please lodge an application via BondAbility and request that this adjustment is made to study. Access to read and write in an exam can be facilitated when listed in a learning access plan.
