Is there parking available on campus?
Parking is available free of charge. Permits to be obtained from Security.

Is there Wi-Fi available?
All rooms have access to Wi-Fi.

Is there on-site security?
Yes, on-campus Security is available 24/7.

Can I arrive to campus prior to Orientation?
You can visit campus prior to Orientation however you'll need to ensure you have accommodation organised outside of the University. If you're living on campus, check-in only commences from the Tuesday of Orientation Week.

I am an overseas student, do I need to bring electrical plug converters?
We do not supply electrical converter plugs to students, but these can often be purchased from airports or electrical stores in the local area or from the Bond University Bookshop.

What's included in each room?
- Computer internet access and Wi-Fi available
- Air conditioning
- King single bed/s
- Linen (including one pillow, pillowcase, sheets and blanket)

What do I need to bring to student housing?
Linen (one pillow, pillowcase, sheets, doona/bedspread, and a blanket) is included however you will need to bring:
- Personal bath and swimming towels
- Toiletries
- Washing powder
- Doona/bedspread cover (please avoid white covers)
- Clothing
- Stationery
To make your room more homely, you may like to purchase or bring:
- Photos
- Bedside lamp (note: Building 12 rooms are fitted with bedside lamps)
- Battery operated lights
- Other light bedroom décor items like cushions and throws.
Please contact Student Housing if you're unsure to avoid bringing any restricted items.

Am I required to have a dining plan?
It is compulsory to have a Dining Plan while living on campus. The Dining Plan amount is loaded onto your Student ID Card (which acts as a Dining Card) and is balance decreasing.
Dining plans are valid for one semester only from Monday of O-Week through to the last day of the semester. Dining plans can be extended if staying over the semester break but not transferrable to the next semester. Dining plans can be topped up if necessary.

Are there laundry facilities?
Yes, washers and dryers are available free of charge. You will need to supply your own detergent.

Can I cook in my room?
No, this would be in breach of Terms and Conditions that you agree to when you book your on-campus accommodation. The only on-campus accommodation to have access to limited kitchen facilities including a cooktop are the Flats.

Are guests allowed to stay overnight?
No, this would be in breach of Terms and Conditions that you agree to when you book your on-campus accommodation.

Can I share with someone of the opposite sex?
No, you may not book into a room with someone of the opposite sex.

Can I bring additional furniture?
Standard issue furniture is supplied to suit the room space. Additional furniture is not permitted except for a bar fridge and television which you can hire or buy.

Are pets allowed in student housing?
No, pets of any description are not permitted.

I'm not yet 18 - can I still apply for on-campus accommodation?
17-year-old students can apply for on-campus housing. For younger students, a Homestay may also be an option.

I have special needs - what accessible accommodation is available?
For special needs students, Bond University has a couple of accessible single ensuite rooms available in the Accommodation Centre (Building 9).

Where can I store my things during the semester break?
If you are continuing in the same room for the new semester your belongings can remain in your current room. If you are moving, your belongings must be packed and stored in resident storage with prior arrangements made through Senior Resident Fellows. Your belongings will need to be collected upon your return to campus.

Are my belongings covered by Insurance?
No, Students must take out their own insurance cover.

How can I book airport pickup service?
You can book airport pickup via Con-X-ion (a 10% discount will be applied using this link).

Where can I pay accommodation and dining fees?
Please make payment for accommodation and dining online. View our Payment methods for payment due dates and the various options available for paying your fees.

When should I pay the accommodation and dining?
The semesterly accommodation and dining fees are paid at time of booking.

What if I need to cancel my housing?
The cancellation fee is equivalent to 4 weeks rent. Plus any accommodation and dining funds utilised.

What if I lose my keys?
There will be cost of $150 to replace your lock and issue a new key.

How do I lodge a maintenance request?
You can lodge a maintenance request in the Student Housing office or via the Student Housing portal.
