Are you interested in learning the tips and tricks of persuasion used by lawyers, entrepreneurs, or business executives? This course is designed to equip you with the essential communication skills necessary to excel in professional and personal environments. 

Through a combination of theoretical learning, practical exercises, and real-world applications, you will develop proficiency in speaking, researching, writing, quick thinking, preparation, and navigating ethical challenges. 

Whether you are aiming for a career in law or business or simply enhancing your interpersonal communication, this course provides the foundational tools to articulate ideas and influence others to achieve desired outcomes.

For-credit subject

This experience can provide credit towards a university subject. Contact us to find out how students can complete five experiences and apply for credit for one 10cp subject into a Bond University undergraduate degree and obtain two points towards their Queensland Certificate of Education.

Designed for: High school students in Years 11 and 12 

Delivery: On campus/online

Learning time: A total of 24 hours of learning, consisting of: 

  • 6 hours of online modules on the Bond Learner platform
  • 10 hours face-to-face on campus
  • 12 hours of additional readings and assessment

Assistant Professor Elizabeth Greene

Assistant Professor Elizabeth Greene holds a Bachelor of Arts/Laws (University of Queensland) and was admitted as a barrister in the Supreme Court of Queensland. She practised in the field of criminal law, and worked for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) prior to commencing at Bond University in 2003. Elizabeth's interest in criminal law is particularly focussed on sentencing issues and the laws and reforms relating to Domestic Violence.
