Borrow from the library with the MyBond app

Borrowing items from the Library is quick and easy with the MyBond app. Whether you’re picking up a textbook, a board game for a study break, or something fun to read, you can check out items from the shelf without visiting the service desk.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Download the MyBond app
If you haven’t already, install the app on your phone or tablet. It’s your portal to Bond tools, services, and software.
  2. Choose your items
Head to the Main Library or Law Library and browse the shelves. You can use the 'Map it' button in Library Search or the collection maps to find what you need.
  3. Tap Borrow from the Library
Open the app, sign in, and look for the tile with the barcode icon.
  4. Scan the barcode
Allow the app to use your camera, then scan the barcode on the front cover of the item. You can also type it in manually if you're using a laptop.

The app will confirm your loan and let you scan more items or view your current loans (up to 10 recent ones).

Stay updated with Library notifications

The MyBond app now helps you stay on top of your Library account with convenient push notifications delivered directly to your phone. You'll continue to receive email notifications, with important Library updates also sent through the app so you can see them sooner and take action more easily.

You may receive notifications when:

  • Your Library request is ready to collect
You'll know as soon as a Click & Collect item is ready for pickup.
  • Your Library Click & Collect reminder
Get a reminder before an item waiting on the hold shelf expires.
  • Your Library loans update
Stay informed about changes to your loan due dates, including recalled items.
  • Your Library request is ready to download
Receive an alert when a requested article or book chapter is available to access online.

Make sure notifications are enabled for the MyBond app on your device so you don't miss important Library updates.
