The faculty librarians are your first point of contact for any conversations about how the Library can help with your research.
We can help with advice on information resources, literature reviews, current awareness, open access and bibliometrics.

Consultations
Make an appointment for a one-on-one consultation with your faculty librarian. In person and online consultations are available.
When making an appointment you can see which librarian is aligned with your faculty. If your faculty librarian is not available and your question is not discipline-specific, you can consult with any librarian.
Ask questions online
You may have questions that are not covered by our guides and website, or you may need more clarification, but can't fit in an appointment with your faculty librarian. You can submit your questions online for us to follow up asynchronously.
This includes complex copyright or licensing questions associated with your research.

Databases
There are different ways to filter and search in the Library's A-Z list of electronic resources. Try these suggestions depending on your research needs.
Citation databases
Citation databases enable searching for citations and provide bibliometric data including citation counts, h-indexes and journal impact data year by year.
Citation databases such as Scopus and Web of Science are available from the Electronic Resources A-Z page
Discipline databases
The Library's electronic resources include key databases for searching the literature in specific disciplines. Examples are PsycINFO, and Medline. Use the Subject filter to find your discipline.
Research focus
The A-Z list of electronic resources includes specialist research tools and databases to help you locate theses, find funding opportunities, benchmark research output and access research methods.
These include, ProQuest Dissertations & Theses: Full Text, Incites, Research Professional and more.
