O-Week at Bond

Bringing Orientation to you

From the second you accept your offer and enrol in your classes, you are officially part of the Bond community. We can’t wait to bring Orientation to you and take you on a whirlwind tour of our University before you get stuck into your studies.

Orientation for our January 2023 semester (231) commences on Wednesday, 11 January, 2023.

Orientation is a series of events and activities designed to introduce you to Bond, your academics, peers, and key support staff and services, and serves as an opportunity to start building your new network. On this page, you will find lots of resources to help you settle in and start the semester strong, as well as a schedule of events for Orientation Week when finalised. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and check to see if a Facebook group for your cohort has been created.

When you arrive at Bond, you must upload your photo to the CaptureME portal. Your photo will be used for identification purposes on Bond's Student Learning Management System (iLearn), and for your student ID card.

Once your photo has been approved through CaptureME, you can collect your Student ID card from Student Assist in the main library (BLD01_2_53) on Monday - Friday between 8.30am and 5pm AEST during Orientation Week.

  • Tune into the Official Welcome to meet the Vice Chancellor, and to find out all the important information about starting at Bond.

  • Get to know Bond, your faculty and key support staff, resources and classmates in a number of Orientation activities.

  • Help is at your fingertips. Chat with Bond staff online, or book an appointment with one of our many support services.

  • Connect with new friends and experiences through our social events. This is a great opportunity to get to know people both in and outside of your study area.

Tune into the Official Welcome to meet the Vice Chancellor, and to find out all the important information about starting at Bond.

Attending Orientation Week

We look forward to welcoming you to Bond's beautiful campus for Orientation Week.

Don't forget that you will need your student ID to access some buildings on campus, borrow library books and more (required for on-campus students only). Once you have completed enrolment you can upload a photo for your student ID card via the CaptureME portal and then collect your ID during Orientation.

If you need any help finding your way around, see our tips below or visit the friendly staff and Student Ambassadors at our Orientation Information Hub, located near the Main Library.

If you aren't able to travel to campus in time for Orientation, you may be able to join most sessions remotely and many will be recorded for playback via iLearn at a time that suits you.
