Dispute Resolution Legal Research Team

Dispute resolution has been a signature area of research, scholarship and professional legal training in the Bond Law Faculty since the  Bond Dispute Resolution Centre was established in 1989. The Dispute Resolution Legal Research Team make critical contributions to Bond’s sustained reputation for excellence in dispute resolution through their scholarly publications. In addition to the Dispute Resolution Legal Research Team’s research and writing efforts, the Law Faculty at Bond also hosts the open-access Dispute Resolution Review and Bond’s Centre for Dispute Resolution offers quality dispute resolution training through the Graduate Certificate in Family Dispute Resolution and the Master of Laws in Family Dispute Resolution (more information can be found below). Together these areas of dispute resolution activity and focus demonstrate the Faculty’s ongoing commitment to continuing to grow and extend its position of prominence in the dispute resolution field in Australia and internationally.

  • Bond University Faculty of Law’s Centre for Dispute Resolutions (CDR) is recognised as a leader in dispute resolution excellence. The Centre brings together some of the country’s leading dispute resolution specialists to offer short courses in mediation and Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) Practitioner training and a wide range of specialist courses, workshops and seminars for individuals seeking to develop their dispute resolution skills. The CDR aims to strengthen its global reputation as a mediation and dispute resolution leader. The Centre actively seeks progressive research opportunities and provides keynote speakers for Australian and international conferences to uphold Bond’s standing among the world’s great universities.

  • The Dispute Resolution Review (DRR) is an international and interdisciplinary journal that provides in-depth scholarly commentary on, and analysis of, all aspects of dispute resolution. The journal is published by the Bond University Faculty of Law operating under the auspices of the Faculty's Centre for Dispute Resolution and covers the spectrum of dispute resolution processes including negotiation, mediation, med-arb and other 'hybrid' processes, arbitration, litigation and civil procedure.   • The Master of Laws in Family Dispute Resolution, suitable to both law and non-law graduates, focuses on family law, family dispute resolution, family separation and the impact of separation and divorce on families in addition to the post-separation resolution of parenting and property disputes. The program provides participants with the theory of family dispute resolution in addition to elements of practice to ensure students gain a deeper knowledge, the necessary skills, and the professional qualifications to understand and practice family dispute resolution.
