Research Supervision 2020: Associate Professor Gulasekaran Rajaguru
Associate Professor Rajaguru’s expertise is in theoretical and applied econometrics. He has supervised 11 Higher Degree by Research students. His approach to supervision includes encouraging students to choose their own topic so they have a strong personal desire to pursue research questions on their own, providing timely feedback, and ensuring his students are prepared to present their findings prior to submitting their thesis.
Research Excellence 2020: Associate Professor Rob Orr
Associate Professor Orr is the Director of the Tactical Research Unit at Bond University, an international collaboration exclusively dedicated to research, education, and consultancy for tactical populations. Since 2019 the TRU have secured $1,277,161 in funding. He has produced 157 articles, 2 book chapters, 33 Technical Reports, 236 conference posters and presentations and currently supervises 13 Higher Degree by Research students from Australia, the USA and Germany.
Early Career Research Excellence: Assistant Professor Ben Schram
Dr Schram completed his PhD in 2016. He is the Research and Data Co-Ordinator in the Tactical Research Unit (TRU) and oversees numerous projects in police, firefighter and military populations at state level, nationally and internationally. To date, Dr Schram has 54 peer reviewed journal articles, 12 conference presentations, 16 technical reports and has presented his research both nationally and internationally as an invited subject matter expert. He currently has 10 HDR students and has secured over $2million dollars in research funding.

Bond University has established University Research Centres to enhance the University's reputation for quality research output and research training.
Our University Research Centres are interdisciplinary and will substantially enhance the University's research base, research income and profile. We also aim to build strategic relationships with other academic institutions and external partners.

Faculty Research Centres are major contributors to the Faculty Research activity. They undertake research activities including securing external research funding, producing quality research outputs and HDR supervision.
