Professional biography
Associate Professor Julie Browning is an award-winning journalist, broadcaster, writer and executive producer. Julie has produced a suite of national and internationally recognised programs, including podcasts, TV documentaries, and current affairs. Julie has expertise in qualitative research methodology, research interests in the reporting of international issues and leadership experience in media transformation. Julie has an interest in the representation of women in the media, including the underrepresentation of young women in the news worldwide. Prior to joining Bond, Julie was a member of the leadership team at ABC Radio National and served on a suite of ABC committees including the Diversity Action Group; the Top 5 residencies for Science, the Humanities and the Arts; and the podcast working group.
