Schedule

Wherever you're starting the semester from, you will be part of the Bond Orientation experience. While some sessions will take place on campus, if you're not based on the Gold Coast, you will join Orientation sessions through Bond’s remote learning platform, Collaborate. You will need to activate your IT account to access Collaborate.

All sessions will be held at Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST). For our international Bondies, most sessions will be recorded and will be able to be viewed at a later time.

Please note, in person sessions are subject to change or cancellation due to COVID-19 restrictions. Registered students will be notified in the event of any changes.

To access Collaborate sessions:

1. Log into iLearn (you must activate your IT account first)
2. Click on ‘Communities’ on the left hand side
3. Select ‘203 Orientation’
(or 'HSM Orientation' for Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine students or 'FSD Orientation' for Faculty of Society & Design students)
4. Select ‘Join Session’ under ‘Subject Room’
(Note - session will be visible at the scheduled time/date)

Experiencing technical problems? Don’t panic. Call the IT Service Desk on +61 7 5595 4444 Monday-Friday between 8am and 5pm AEST.

If viewing the schedule on mobile, turn your phone landscape to see the full table.

How to play Online Trivia

Test your general knowledge with a trivia night from home. You will need two devices to play - one will be your buzzer (we recommend you use your phone) and the second device will be used to watch the live stream on YouTube.

There are $1,000 worth of prizes to be won!

1. Download the QuizXpress Smart Buzzer app from Google Play or the App Store.
2. At 6.50pm, follow the link to the Live Stream.
3. Open the Smart Buzzer app and enter your full name as the team name, so we know who to send the prize to if you win! Then, select to join the game 'via pin'.
4. A pincode will appear on the live stream video. Enter the code and hit 'login with pin'. Your keypad in the Smart Buzzer app will connect and will be your buzzer.
5. Enjoy the game!

Textbooks

Bond University has provided Booktopia, an Australian online bookstore, with details of the prescribed textbooks for your subjects.  Check the Booktopia Textbook Finder to see the details and buy a copy of your textbook.  Of course you are welcome to buy your textbook elsewhere but be sure to check all the details to be certain that you are buying the correct book.  Not all textbooks are available from Booktopia and delivery is only within Australia and New Zealand.  If your subject is not listed, please check with your Lecturer.

The Library has many, but not all of the prescribed textbooks available as e-books.  Others are available as print books in the Reserve collections if you are able to get to campus.  Check with your Lecturer to get advice on how important it is that you have your own copy of the textbook.

The Medical Clinic is a facility for currently enrolled students and staff members of Bond. Our Psychologists provide free, confidential counselling service to help you with anything from academic, study pressures through to personal problems.
