Australia is open and we can't wait to see you. 

From 6 July 2022, all visa holders may travel to Australia without providing evidence of their vaccination status. Unvaccinated visa holders are also not required to have a travel exemption. All international students will be able to enter under their Australian student visa.

If you do not currently hold a student visa, apply for your student visa now to ensure that you are prepared for travel given this is a condition of entry to Australia. Student visas are taking longer than normal to be processed, so it's important that you apply as early as possible.

Returning International Student FAQs (last updated 27/7/22)

Currently there are no requirements to quarantine or undertake a COVID-19 test when arriving in Australia or Queensland. 

From 6 July 2022, student visa holders can travel to Australia without needing to provide proof of vaccination, however it is recommended that you have a copy of your vaccination status on file in case you require it for any other purpose. 

COVID-19 vaccines are free for everyone in Australia including international students aged 12 years and over. You do not need a Medicare card to get your vaccination at a government vaccination clinic.

The Bond University Medical Centre administers  vaccines on campus for all staff and students. Bond medical staff are also to administer rapid antigen testing services on campus for current students. 

If you are an international student visa holder studying at Bond from within Australia, it is a requirement of your Student Visa, condition 8202, that you study full-time, attend face to face on-campus classes at our Gold Coast campus and meet satisfactory academic requirements.


Study Gold Coast is encouraging new international students to choose the Gold Coast as their preferred education destination by offering a student relocation travel grant of AU$500 to the first 500 applicants who meet the  terms & conditions . Students commencing on campus at Bond in September 2022 or January 2023 can apply.
